Airline content is now split three ways: GDS networks, airlines' own NDC connections, and low-cost carriers that often sit outside both. Voraal aggregates them behind one search and one booking flow — in Rezencia's interface, or through the Avunzo API.
01 · The problem
The problem
A GDS used to be enough. Today airlines distribute fares and bundles directly through NDC, and many low-cost carriers were never fully in a GDS. An agency that searches only a GDS misses part of the market.
An agency that tries to cover everything ends up juggling a GDS screen, airline portals and low-cost carrier websites — each with its own login, format and booking process. Building it in-house means a connection per source to build, certify and maintain.
02 · Why it's hard to fix
Why it's hard to fix
Every source describes flights differently
GDS messaging, NDC interfaces and low-cost connections each represent flights, fares and bookings their own way.
Results must be comparable
A traveller should compare options without knowing which channel each came from.
Pricing must be uniform
The agency's markup has to apply consistently, whatever the fare's source.
03 · What we built
What we built
An aggregation layer between the business and its sources. One search fans out to every connected GDS, NDC carrier and low-cost carrier; responses are normalised into one structure and returned as a single list.
- Rezencia — a complete booking platform with its own interface
- Avunzo — the same content through an API, for teams building their own front end
04 · How it works
How it works
- 1
One search request
An agent or calling application searches once.
- 2
Fan-out to every source
GDS, NDC and low-cost sources are queried through their own connections.
- 3
Normalisation
Responses become one consistent structure, so options appear side by side.
- 4
One booking flow
The chosen option is booked through its originating source, without switching systems.
05 · What changes for the team
What changes for the team
| Before | With Voraal |
|---|---|
| A GDS screen, airline portals and low-cost websites | One search |
| A login and booking process per source | One booking flow |
| Content nobody checks is content nobody sells | Connected sources searched together |
| Each new source is an integration project | New sources arrive through the aggregation layer |
06 · What it does not do
What it does not do
- Coverage is limited to connected sources, not every airline — specific carriers are confirmed during discovery.
- In Rezencia, GDS content uses the business's own GDS credentials; existing GDS agreements stay in place.
- Fares, availability and conditions belong to the airlines. Voraal presents and books them; it doesn't set them.
